Whatever we are today is because of the teaching from so many people in our life from child hood to till now. so many people have played a role teaching in our life and we have been sculptured whatever we are today. If you remove each teaching from us , we may become nothing ,We are zero. 

We came across a subject teachers may around 50????

Other techers like music , dance, sports etc.., how many? And life teachers who taught from how say appaa and amma…. More than 1000 teachers in our life.. But how many we remember is 20 or 30 teachers we can their names???

A king has decided to felicitate a person who has been contributing, asked all the ministers which profession shall be considered. One minister said a business man, because of business man our country economy is doing goods and everybody getting employments. An other minister said it should be engineer, because he construct the shelters for us, he finds a new technologies for us. An other minister said it should be doctor because doctor saves our life. And other person said it should soldiers. Since they give the life in borders to take care of us and sleep peacefully. 

Every akbar has a Birbal, so king asked his special minister. He said give me half an hour time and he left, after some time he came with old women and the moment he entered all the ministers one by one started getting. The king surprised to see the old women and everybody started getting up. He asked the ministers who is this getting so much respect from all of you. 

All the ministers together uttered , it is our teacher. We all  are here today because of this teacher. Then everybody decided to felicitate the teacher. 

Guru hold a great honor. We say “ Guru bramha, Guru Vishnu, Gurudevo maheshwaraha. We treat Guru has God in our culture and in our country. 

Teacher is considered as foundation of our knowledge. Source of all idea.

I was fortunate enough because my foundation started from holy place siddaganga mutt at the age of 5 years. I was youngest in the mutt who stay in mutt. 

Siddaganga mutt gave me values in my life- Discipline, Determination, and Decisive.

Discipline

Discipline is the one thing the moment you listen this word we feel scared and feel restricted. 

- One way to handle distraction is by being disciplined on anything we do - Disciple is not what the world has imposed on us, but what we impose on our self – SELF DISCIPLINE

 -  Discipline “I will subordinate my likes and dislikes for the purpose of my life”. Discipline means giving yourself NO OTHER OPTION.

•   Time for everything and everything in that time
• Morning - Creativity; Day – Activity; Evening – Recreation / Study
• Wake up time fixed
• Time for your health & fitness
• Study hours to be planned and followed
• Home work time to be planned and followed
• Play time to be decided / fixed and do only in that time
• Time with family to be freezed
• Time for friends to be allotted
• Plan a time for movie / weekly outing / recreation and earn it

•   Place for everything and everything in its place
• Place to be allocated for your books and kept there only
• Place all your play kits
• Place for all your electronic gadgets
• Place for your dresses / belongings
• Place for pillows / bedspreads
• Place for shoes / socks
• Place for soap / shampoo / etc…

Determination:

An ordinary stone became devotional statue after facing challenges and hits in all angles in its life. Stone found the answer ; who I am ? I am the Ganesha statue…Sometime the challenges are exactly what we need in our life. What, I am today is because of the challenges faced and the struggle ,which I went through. It created a confidence in me to think big in  my life.  The difficulties in my life helped to discover myself.

I always admire the story of butterfly and cocoon, the boy helped the cocoon to come out but it dies… “ The egg is broken from inside life starts, if it is broken from outside life ends..

If God allowed me to go through my life without any obstacles, it would cripple me. I would not be as strong as what I could have been. And I could never fly. 

In fact, it is the struggle that causes to develop the ability to fly.

The Swami vivekanda words always inspire me after this realization.

 “When I asked God for strength, he gave me difficult situation to face.”

“When I asked God for the wealth, he showed me how to work hard”

“When I asked God for happiness, he showed me some unhappy people”

All these examples speak about becoming strong within. Do not look for the support outside; always think how to build self. 

A man in the circus had 10 lions; everyday he was feeding prepared meat. After some time the circus was not doing  and he was unable to feed, so he dropped them in to the forest. After few days he came to know only three is alive and rest was eaten by forest dogs. Even Lions have lost the strength to find its own meet. Life without struggle will be like circus lions, It kills the strength within us. Accept the difficulties, grow out of struggle discover your strength. This is possible if you have Determination.

Most of my education life was outside home because of financial difficulties and relationship difficulties. In spite of difficulties, my dream was to become an Engineer. Couldn’t .Though I got Government seat. I had to drop the education and struggle for a year. I struggle to get next meal. No shelter. Slept in the park for many days. 

Who I am today is just because of that one value “ Determination”.

Decisive:

Flood in the village, - Opportunities always knocks at your doors. But you should know when to take what decision. The right decision taken by you makes success. How to make decision- By experience, how to get experience- by making wrong decision… It is not that , I have take always right decision , so many wrong decision created me experienced man and to take a right decision. Proble is you don’t take decision. Because you may fail.

Animals by nature have a personality – majestic as a lion, dance like peacock, as fast as cheetah. But humans have to create a personality. We all look upto somebody – it could be Narayanamuthy, Barack Obama, Sachin Tendulkar, your uncle, father, mother, etc. All these people whom we look upto have a powerful personality and we admire them for that. This personality doesn’t come easily but takes time. In Engg college – Myself  vs my  friend – scored first second class and friend 98% (college topper).  Today friend struggles to make ends meet, while I  lead an enviable life style. All this was possible as I had something more than academics. This something which creates success is powerful personality. Everybody has personality, only those who have powerful personalities rise to the top. That’s why children should learn as many new initiatives / actvities in life as possible. Like dance, quiz, debate communications, team leader, sports etc.,.. 

 If someone whom we look upto enters the class e.g.Abdul kalam enters the class now, you will all stand up. That’s the power of powerful personality. 

Osama Bin Laden and Duryodhana are also have a powerful personality but used it in the wrong direction. The need for good people with a powerful personality is very important for India and the world

To become powerful personality three basics things you need to develop is Attitutde, skill and knowledge…

Steps for developing a powerful personality:

We need to have a powerful personality else life is a waste. Now what is needed to be done. Powerful personality is not an overnight activity – it takes time but it is worth it. Few of the basic qualities required are…

1. Leadership: To develop a powerful personality, you need to be a leader. People will follow my example but not my advice. 

Walk the talk and tak the walk, We should live by that. If your teacher who says exercise, but doesn’t have good health then you will not look upto to that teacher. Papa says u wake up early, but he himself wakes up late. Walk your talk. If I want you to be enthusiastic I should be enthusiastic. Papa gives a lecture on honesty and at that time a call comes, he says tell that uncle I am not there, then it will be difficult to impress the importance of honesty bcos the father is not living by it.  Mastermind – clapping.. 1 2 3 … go demonstration. 

2. Likes and Dislikes: I will subordinate my likes and dislikes to the purpose of my life.

I love to waste my time daily with my friends watching movies, can you become great personality. You have to subordinate your like for the purpse fo life.  If you are sick doctor goves the tablet. But tablet is donte taste to eat but if you don’t take because you don’t like will the fever cures no, you have to subordinat your dislike for the purpose of your life. 

 Love to sleep but purpose is to have study four hours a day , then I will wake up. You will have to be at school at 8*30, so you are subordinating your liking for sleep to come on time. Something in you has already changed in this process. Junk food is tempting, but if you think of your health you can overcome this temptation. Think ‘I will not put a paunch, not have indigestion etc’ and soon the +ve thought will help us overcome.  If you are in the wrong company, immediately move out. By decision you sleep, it is alright, but it should not be that you were studying and without your knowledge slept. 

3. Be tough on self: If you are tough on yourself, life will be infinitely easy on you. It is tough to study when everybody in the class is chatting and gossiping. But you need to be tough on your self. 

If everybody eating sweets , it is tough to sit without eating , but if you eat life will become tough on your self.  Slap yourself before life slaps you. Keep on practicing that which is tough and it will become easy. After sometime this thing which is tough will become easy. Expose myself in whatever way possible.

4. Unconditional responsibility: This is possible only when I assume unconditional responsibility. Accepting responsibility exposes you to yourself and creates the right attitude. Mahatma – thought I should remove all you people from my country unconditionally (he didn’t put a condition) and there the first seeds to greatness were sowed. There is no growth with conditions – it has to be unconditional. Assume it in the school, it could be a school function or a class activity. Life is not because of , it is inspite of.

You have no rights to disturb the peace of another person. The moment your action is disturbing the other person and his curse will become bad blessings in your life. 

I have seen many of us have practice of saying, I will reach in five minute knowingly cannot reach that place and make other person to wait and waste his time. By the time you reach he curse so much even if he is your loved one. We keep accumulating the negative blessings for silly things. This is the Karmic account. 

You simply park the vehicle in front of a gate of some bodies’ house and you think your self you may come back in two minutes. But never happened in your life that two minutes and that person want to remove his vehicle from his house he will curse so much. You will fill your treasure with negative blessings (Karma). 

In the process of earning money you forget to earn the blessings. Everybody earns money but along with the money it is important to gain blessings of the people and reserve. Money may get few things to your home but the blessings always brings you happy, peace and love

It is most important to do something good to others so that he is happy, peaceful. He will bless you so much even in your absence. If you go and buy vegetables in street shop, if he adds one rotten piece and you know how much you curse that person at home. Just for the small piece of vegetable you pass so much negative vibrations. Small exploit with other person make you to accumulate karmic account.

 Same person says my vegetables are not fresh today; you appreciate that person so much even after going back home, what sort of energy we pass on about him. You discuss that person behavior with all your family and also inform to neighbors. “He looks at your benefit than his own benefit”. This should be the rule of a Business in your life. When the vegetables seller is honest, he may lose that day business and money but he earns so many blessings on that day, with that vibration next day there are ten families wish to go to him. The law of life is  “when you gain blessings money follows”

We have to look up to him, We have to respect him. More importantly , we have to surrender to him.

A discable goes to a teacher and says , I have been searching for  a good teacher from two years , but didn’t get , you are the one I have chosen to be suitable teacher. Then teacher is laughed at him, teacher being a teacher. He said thank you very much for choosing me as your teacher after evaluating so many teacher across the country. But I have condition , suddenly the student scares and ask him what is the condition. Teacher says you have pass test , student asked him what is the test?. Teacher says you should do what ever I say for three days without asking any question. Student feels for three days , I can do. Then teacher asked him to come next day morning. Next day student enters in to the Gurukul. Teaches takes him to well and showed him a rope. And given a old rusted bucket to take water from the well. But student saw, it has no bottom. He thinks teacher don’t know he has given. But he cannot ask the question. He drop the bucket with rope in to well and takes out, he doesn’t get a water. Looks at his teacher , teacher says do it repeatedly, student loses his pations. Ultimately asked the teacher .

Then teacher says , dear student , I also know and you also know there is no bottom but you could not do with questioning. But tommarow I am going to teach something which I know and you don’t know. How are you going to listen. You failed my test. 

Most important is surrender to the teacher have faith on the teacher. “ song- Guruvina gulama naguva thanaka dorakadanna mukuthi..”

The way teacher teaches may different, but his intentions are is to teach you,  His happiness  lies in students success not his own.

A student goes to learn a karate, and teacher always holds a stick in his hand and keep hitting when ever he passes by, this student did not understand first days , second he passes by he became alert and moved himself to escape. Third days he started notices if his teacher entering far distance and even coming from backside. He became alert and conscious about his movement. One day he was sleeping, teacher comes raise the stick to hit him, suddenly he senses and move from the bed before the stick drops. His alertness and conscious has improved even in his sound sleep he could sense the movement of the stick. Teacher said him you are ready for the karate.  – the way teacher teaches may look hard, his intentions are to make you learn.  

Teacher is like a ladder where students use this ladder to climb. We are the product of teacher. Teaching profession is tough, because each student is unique; the teacher has to teach customized way for each student take the best product of you. Not like any other product, which we manufacture once designed and manufacturing is made automatic. That will run for years automatically. It is not a building , fame of the school makes the school efficient and useful, norare the books in the library, appliances in the labaratoy so essential. It is Teachers- make the difference. Teachers reveal the directions and goal. So teachersplay significant role in moulding the futue of the country…

Ladies and Gentlemen

Good Morning & I join my chairman in welcoming you all for the ASSOCHAM solar conference 2016.  

It is important for all stakeholders to contribute to achieve the RE target set by the National RE mission. There is a need for a robust and integrated policy regime which attracts investors covering various aspects such as:

 Stable and long term policy framework

 Role of Central and State governments

 corridor and Transmission planning for RE Evacuation

 Grid management protocols

The objective of this Seminar is to seek inputs from a large number of stakeholders including industry (developers, system integrators and manufacturers), government (Central and State), regulators, research institutions and think tanks. These discussions in the workshop will be used as inputs for the National Energy Policy (NEP) are being developed by NITI Aayog. It will help frame a robust and long-term policy environment, which will help achieve the 175 GW of RE target.

The event will discuss the issues and solutions concerning

·        The implementation of state government ambitious programme of installing 100GW of Solar Power in the country by 2022.

·        Sharing experiences of successful projects the participants will be able to set the benchmark of their performance and develop system of effective project management of solar installation.

·        To discuss the support needed from concerned State Governments regarding various issues of projects.

·        Know the capability of local manufacturers and suggest improvement.

·        Showcase the investment potential in Solar Sector to rest of the world to achieve the target for installation of solar power.

·        Provide platform for entrepreneurs, financers, mentors and others stakeholders to engage and collaborate across the world, to share ideas, best practices; develop solutions and partnerships that benefit India.

At present renewable sources form about 13% of the total installed capacity of power in India.  The state government is currently targeting to increase renewable energy capacities and this ambitious capacity addition plans call for several modifications in policy actions, regulatory measures, technical advancements and suitable investments supports.

India has the potential to be amongst the top three countries globally in the next five years in terms of installed capacity of renewable energy, thereby creating millions of new jobs, reducing poverty and achieving sustained socio-economic development.

Accordingly, enhancing the share of renewable in the overall energy basket of the country is a priority for the Indian government.  With solar power at the centre stage, Government of India has ambitious programme to install 100 GW of solar electricity by 2022.

Solar has a prime role to play in energy security, helping to achieve a clean energy mix in the country.  Three main factors – macro drivers, energy market drivers and technology-specific drivers – drive the market attractiveness for solar in India.  They determine whether the country has a favorable investment climate. 

·        Macro drivers include the economic and political stability of the country and ease of doing business. 

·        The country’s energy market is driven by the demand - supply scenario of solar energy, electricity consumption growth, reliance on energy imports and energy mix ratios.  The power infrastructure and ability to connect solar energy and availability, cost of finance for solar energy also drive the market. 

·        Technology specific drivers include attractiveness of a solar project.  The parameters are strength and potential of harnessing solar energy, technology maturity, forecasted growth and strength of the local supply chain.  This means the state of local manufacturing of solar technologies in the country.  

Nevertheless, Karnataka has been always fore front among all the states creating innovative policies.

Various initiatives are being taken by the Karnataka state government for creating conducive policy environment for development of Renewable Energy in the state. 

 However, there is a need to undertake innovative and concerted efforts with a view to reducing the cost of finance and cost of technology for speedy deployment of competitive solar power installations in the state.

There is need to strengthen the local supply chain:  One of the prime issues of local manufacturing in solar components is that the entire manufacturing chain is not in India.  It is mostly dependent on import of components from other countries.  Differential pricing by foreign suppliers has also added to the problem for Indian manufacturers.  Addressing this challenge should be one of the major areas of concern of the Government.  The Government should encourage backward integration to expand the chain of production in India.  The Government should encourage procurement of solar energy by giving the domestic manufacturers preferred status.  With these initiatives in place, Indian manufacturers of solar technologies are expected to play a bigger role.

When we met Mr shankarlingegowda chairman of KERC in his office, he asked us one question?  What is the consumption of power per day in the Karnataka state? We understand from him that the total power consumption is 150 Miilions units a day, where as neighboring states like tamilnadu is more than 300 million units, Andra pradesh/telangana is 275 million units. It means the state is consuming less energy; it speaks about the industrial growth in the state. The industrial growth or economy growth is directly measured by the energy consumption a day. We as representatives of Industry Assochem and the government  should think about this. The large manufacturing should come to the state. It is very much necessary to bring manufacturing units in the renewable energy domain in the state. We request honorable minister to create Industrial park exclusively for the renewable energy equipments manufacturing in the state with few incentives to invite investors in the manufacturing.

There is need for the research and development activities in the state for creating solar energy, and all the clean energy. Addition to this, clean energy storage facilities going to be future. Government should encourage and initiate such research and developmental activities.

Sir,  Industry friends sitting here, seeking many clarifications from the government.

The different projects are at different stages of implementation.

·        Reverse bidding PPA’s and its developers facing a challenges like

o   Delay in the Land procurement  and NA activities

o   Delay in the evacuation approvals , ROW and so on 

o   Most of the developers are seeking for the PPA’s extension without changing the tariff and other terms and conditions. 

·         PPA’s  issued under land owner scheme and its developers has challenges like

o   Delay is due to  funding challenges  without collateral from the banks

o   Most of the Land owners are seeking for the PPA’s extension without changing   the tariff, terms and conditions.

·        Rooftop developers has challenge of

o   The earlier solar rooftop policy and with draw of the policy made investors, developers, bankers uncertain and unviable about the Rooftop solar scheme.

·        Bilateral power purchase has question

o   Many of the private consumers are willing to buy from the private solar power generators. Developers looking for the ease of getting NOC and evacuation approval.

With this once again I wish to mention all of you, ASSOCHAM always work with government and other stake holders to promote the Renewable energy by conducting seminars, conferences and workshops .Discuss the issues and challenges faced by stakeholders in implementation of Green Energy, here we are with you from this one day conference with theme “Solar energy- the new investment power path”

UMDA work shop on BEE speech by Ramesh shivanna 17.4.2015

Day by day we see the human life dependency of the electricity is increasing. Buildings are increasingly responsible for hosting number of energy consuming electronics and electrical equipment's  and general electronic products such as Refrigerators, washing machines and Air conditioning units, people with middle income groups are also buying high-end equipments. Also the formal and informal market of inefficient electrical products, influences the unprecedented energy consumption at household level. Therefore, Ministry of Power has established the Bureau of Energy Efficiency to monitor, register and verify the Energy Star Labeled equipment's which are more energy efficient and saves money for the consumers.

The consumers’ are in dilemma to know-how and select the best category of appliance according to their needs and requirement. There was a need for standards and labeling program because of wide variation in energy consumption of products, information on energy consumption being often not easily available or easy to understand from the nameplate and leading to continued manufacture and purchase of inefficient equipment's and appliances.

The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has established comparative star labeling system for indoor appliances like tubular fluorescent lamps, refrigerators (frost free and direct cool), and air conditioners. Other appliances include distribution transformer, induction motors, pump sets, ceiling fans, LPG, electric geysers and colour TV.  But we all of us used to speak about bringing standards in the Inverter and UPS which equally used now days and become basic need in any house , commercial and industries. In fact from UMDA we had separate committee formed to build a specification and recommended to Bureau of India standards and also published in our publications to follow by all our members.

Today we all should welcome the BEE, which is extended the star rating mandatory to Inverter and UPS. This will help the industry to bring a standard in the product

More the number of stars more are the energy efficiency of the appliance. There are six significant benefits from this program which include providing information on energy use to consumers, enabling consumers to reduce energy bills, reducing capital investment in energy supply infrastructure, strengthening competitive markets, mitigating climate change goals and reducing urban/regional pollution.

Ladies and gentle this is a time to know and create awareness ourselves. The UL being a certifying agency also took initiative to educate us. We take this opportunity to welcome them for supporting us to conduct this workshop today.
